"Michael Myers is a killer shark...in baggy-ass overalls...and gets his kicks off of killin' everything and everyone that he comes across."
―Freddie Harris[src]

Coveralls are what Michael Myers normally wears as his outfit, along with his mask, usually after getting rid of his hospital robes. He typically steals them from a mechanic, trucker or station attendant after murdering them.

Appearances

  • Halloween (Obtained from killing a mechanic from Phelps Garage)
  • Halloween II (Same ones from H1)
  • Halloween III: Season of the Witch (Only appear with Michael in a TV commercial for Halloween '78)
  • Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers (Obtained from killing a mechanic at Penney's Gas Station)
  • Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers (Same ones from H4)
  • Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers (Possibly the same as the previous ones but weathered and lighter in color, or were given by the Cult)
  • Halloween H20: Twenty Years Later (Unknown, but they are unlikely to be the same from H1 and H2, as those coveralls were probably burned by the explosion)
  • Halloween: Resurrection (Unknown, since Michael clothed a paramedic in his coveralls to make his escape, although it is possible he might have recovered them)
  • Halloween (Obtained from killing Joe Grizzly at a truck wash's restroom)
  • Halloween II (Presumably the same ones from the previous film)
  • Halloween (Obtained from killing a gas station attendant)
  • Halloween Kills (The same ones as the previous film and the ones from the original in flashbacks)

Behind the scenes

The coveralls Michael originally wore, contrary to popular belief, were not blue. The film used a great deal of blue lighting for the night scenes, so many audiences thought that Michael was wearing blue coveralls. However, if you look at the scene where Michael runs into Tommy Doyle's tormentors, you will notice that the coveralls take on more of a green color.

In Halloween, the coveralls were Tex Green (described in Sears catalogs as a gray/green color) Sears Tradewear coveralls (both the catalogs and the packaging refer to the specific model as a Sears Perma-prest® Long sleeve one-piece Work Suit, however the tag inside the suit features the Tradewear brand). No one knows what happened to the actual, screen-used coveralls; however the brand and model have been identified by careful comparisons of distinguishing features like the shapes of the pockets and pocket flaps, seam locations, elastic waist inserts and the "action back" pleats. One subtle, but particularly revealing feature of the screen-used coveralls was that the collar featured a button enclosure, as opposed to the more commonly-seen snap enclosure. Since Sears catalogs show that the button enclosure was replaced by a snap enclosure in the very early 70s, it has been possible to date the screen-used overalls to 1972 or before, and establish the actual color as Tex Green, based on the limited number of colors available when the button collar was still available. And, although the details of where the coveralls were sourced for Halloween's filming in 1978 have been lost to time, the fact that these particular coveralls were manufactured in the early 70s suggests that they may have been borrowed, used, from either a member of the crew or someone they knew.

In Halloween II, the coveralls were Spruce Green Sears Work and Leisure coveralls.

In Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers, the coveralls were Grey (HEAVILY WEATHERED) Fisher Stripe Big Macs.

In Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers, the coveralls were Blue (HEAVILY WEATHERED) Herringbone Sears Work N Leisures.

In Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers, the coveralls were Light Grey "Dickies" Coveralls with Slanted Zippers (removed).

In Halloween H20: Twenty Years Later, the coveralls used were charcoal colored Red Kap CT10 Men's Twill Action Backs.

In Halloween: Resurrection, the coveralls were Charcoal "Dakota" Coveralls.

In Halloween, the coveralls were Carhartt X02 Coveralls.

In Halloween II, the coveralls were Carhartt X01 Coveralls.

In Halloween, the coveralls were 9.5 oz Charcoal Workrite Ultra Soft Work Coveralls.

In Halloween Kills, the coveralls were (HEAVILY WEATHERED) 9.5 oz Charcoal Workrite Ultra Soft Work Coveralls and Red Kap Men's Twill Action Back Coverall for the 1978 flashbacks.
